I work from 6:00-4:30 M-F and from 5-10 on Saturdays. I will be in West Chester on June 23rd visiting some of my friends from Tyson, in which i will be getting hammered because i will be celebrating my birthday in style because my birthday is gonna suck here at home. I guess my friend Kelly and I are the antichrist since we are both celebrating "monumental" birthdays on 6-6-06, 21 and 20 respectfully. Im going to OBX in about a month for a week, that should be awesome. Going to 2 more concerts(AFI, June 23rd and Ozzfest, August 4th). So all in all its been pretty sweet. OH! Today, me and 5 of my fraternity brothers auditioned to sing the national anthem at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Out of about 300 people/groups that tried out, they are calling back 25. Out of thoes 25, 3 get chosen to sing at 3 home games in the fall. After we sang, we got a hearty applause and the judges seemed to like it. I think that this semester has been my best since being here at the Dub C. Classes are going well for the most part(stupid 12 page research paper), i saw my first Phi Mu Alpha pledge class go through the process, i keep meeting more and more new people all the time. Things are just falling into place for once.<br /><br />As I mentioned before, PMA stuff is basically done for the semester. We had 8 great guys come through the pledge process. Next semester i'm gonna have a little, so im excited about that. Our last brotherly thing for this semester is out American Music Concert. If anyone is interested in coming...its tomorrow night at 8:15 in Swope Hall. Come see me in a tux...hehehe<br /><br />For thoes who dont know already, im going to be having surgery on the 19th. So 2 weeks from yesterday. Im really excited for this one. I know that sounds weird. Why would you want to be excited about surgery? Well, this one is hopefully ::crosses fingers:: one of my last surgeries ever! What they are doing is basically taking almost all of the soft tissue out almost to the bone in my chin and they are reshaping my lip. But with all the excitement, im also kinda nervous for this one. Ive been told that ill be in the hospital for 2-3 days which is the most ive ever had to stay there, and my surgeon wants 2 units of blood. That means that im gonna be loosing a lot, so he wants some to put back in. So yesterday and next monday i had/have to go to the American Red Cross right here in town to get that all sorted out. With a good thing comes a bad thing too. Since this surgery is gonna be done on my lip as well, as a result of it, i may never be able to play clarinet ever again. But we shall see. It kinda sucked, i was supposed to go to the SHS football game but they were standing still...supposed to go to the SHS comp., but that got rained on...sooo that was my weekend in a nut shell. Depending if its raining or not, im gonna go home for the home show after our homecoming game against Mansfield. Hopefully I will be able to get out of here quick enough to get back.<br /><br />Im comtemplating with doing marching band next year or not. This year sucks ass! My section leader is a hard ass. She talks in 3rd person all the time. Its just really annoying. And she talks down to us. She makes practice hell. Thank god she is graduating soon! Thats just half of the story. I am having surgery in December. This one will be my 7th one and its the most serious one. As a result of the surgery, i might not be able to play the clarinet ever again....sooo, thats also a problem. So one resolution to this problem is to be in the pit. journal...<br /><br />Lets go back for a second here...<br /><br />The rest of my summer was a blast!...I went to Warped Tour on August 12th...that was just unbelieveable. Every band that I wanted/looking foward to seeing, was awesome. Highlights of the day include...my sister loosing her sandles during My Chemical Romance, me crowd surfing during Dropkick Murphys, me almost passing out from heat exhaustion within 15 mins of getting to the Tweeter Center...Some bands that really kicked ass that everyone should listen to, if u arent already...Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Funeral For A Friend, Motion City Soundtrack, Avenged Sevenfold, and Atreyu. <br /><br />Hung out with the Medford folk a ton...had my first White Castle burger, sooo goood! Went and saw Four Brothers...such a great movie. There were other great moments...just cant think of them at this moment in time.<br /><br />I moved into my dorm of the 22nd of August. Band camp was great...long and hot...but great. It was awesome seeing everyone again. Our show is coming along great, from what I hear, we have ONE of the best shows in the area. We are playing some hard charts that will blow ya'll away. The guys in my department are awesome! And today was payday, and i will love this day for the rest of the summer cause i make a little over 500 dollars A WEEK!! I know mine is going pretty well right now. <br /><br />Monday I had to take care of some stuff for work(fill out another application, get a physical, and piss in a cup). <br /><br />Ok, so on saturday I hear that my favorite band(System of a Down) was playing a concert on Tues(5/10) at the TLA. SWEET! So of course i had to bicker with my mom to let me go. At first she told me that i had to go with someone else. But of course no one is home from school yet, or anyone who is here doesnt like then, or people already had plans. So i ended calling up my dad who is in Brazil right now and i convinced him to let me go. Of course that worked. SO...the thing with all of this was that tickets went on sale at 10AM the day of the show. So what i did was stay over at my aunts appartment, wake up at 7AM to go down to the box office. When I got there, they were doing a wristband system. Just because you have a wristband, didnt mean you were gonna get a ticket. So i was number 241 out of 400. People camped out in there cars overnight for this. Ok, so after waiting since 7AM for tickets to go on sale at 10..they start letting the first people go. After about 30 mins or so, I got my ticket. The show was awesome!! I got right up on the rail that was 5 feet from the stage. They played all the good shit! <br /><br />Today i went back into philly to see my plastic surgeon. And in December(the 19th to be exact) I will be having my 7th surgery. And after this one and one last surgery, i should be looking much better and that it should be the end of surgeries for me!! <br /><br />Friday im gonna be at the University of Delaware visiting Biggest mistake ever! Drank 15 beers in 4 hrs THEN went to a house party. Friday came and i felt like shit. So i didnt go to any of my classes and i puked 3 times throughout the day. Note To Self...dont drink excessivly on a thursday night ever again!<br /><br />How could i of forgotten about the PMA/SAI Formal...That was one of the best times ive had this entire semester!...It was great to hang out with bros and sisters that i dont normally see or even talk to...Nay, u are one crazy mofo...all in all was an amazing night...Saturday should be a great time at the Alumni softball game!<br /><br />Over the past week, even a little more i have been hanging out with some of the coolest people i have met since ive been at school. One saturday we(me, one of my pledge bros and these two awesome girls) camped out in their dorm. It was one of the most random nights ive had in a long time! Thank you elisa, alana, and mark...you guys are DA SHIT!<br /><br />Today...holy shit!...never in a million years would i ever think about drinking at 10AM. But i did. hehehehe.....so i started to drink at 10AM, and we watched the Price is Right because someone that my fraternity brothers know was on it and won a trip to Greece. After that we played drinking games with Halo, that was interesting!...then it was the SIGMA picnic, and then it was volleyball....Phi Mu Alpha and SAI kicked the shit out of TBS and KKPsi...it was awesome...showed everyone whos boss!<br /><br />Tonight im going out with elisa and some other people to The Rat. Its this club on campus and its 80s night...oh boy, should be interesting.<br /><br />Countdowns...<br />4 days of exams<br />1 WEEK TIL HOME!!!!!<br /><br />Justin and Erica...i will see you guys in a couple weeks!
